Hola

Well, I’m on the downward path to completing my thesis proposal. After meeting with my faculty advisor two weeks ago, who quite frankly, chewed me out, I was reinvigorated and made a lot of progress. I think she realized that procrastination is an integral part of my personality so, being the wise chair person that she is, she gave me a deadline (Monday October 2nd). So after several hours today I should be in the clear for a couple weeks. That will give me just enough time to exhale, kick up my feet, have some bloody Marys and relax. I may even start to write on this site again! Of course, I have to commit myself to my desk today, which is easier said than done. It is a beautiful day outside and my garden needs some major weeding. Plus, today is the National Book Festival and Book TV will be covering it all day. I know to most this wouldn’t even illicit an ounce of consideration while channel surfing but I happen to love watching (or going to if I can) book fairs and this happens to be “The National” book fair. Probably the only good thing that has come out of the Bush Whitehouse (actually, Ms. Laura Bush should receive all the credit). Well, anyway, I’m off to earn my freedom. Ciao.
