Onward Christian Solider

After watching an entertaining, and equally thought provoking, documentary (The Root of All Evil?) written and produced by world renowned biologist Richard Dawkins, this little tidbit of Christian fanaticism seems that much more scary. And while I don’t agree completely with Dawkins characterization of religious people in general, I do think that a segment of the evangelical movement is akin to an “American Tali-ban.” I know for sure that more scientists like Dawkins and those with more moderate religious views need to speak up against these people before they get a foot hold on our democracy. The really scary part is that some would say they already have and their shining star is George W. Bush.
