How sick are we as a country that we will spend this money on a war but completely scoff at the idea of spending it on the health and wellbeing of our fellow citizens? It disgusts me.
Annual cost
Iraq war: $200 billion
US universal health care: $100 billion
US universal preschool: $ 35 billion
US Security (9/11 Commission): $ 10 billion
US cancer research: $ 6 billion
Immunize world’s children
Against measles, whooping
Cough, tetanus, tuberculosis,
Polio, and diphtheria $ 0.6 billion
